Matching Gifts
Many corporations, in an effort to encourage employees to make charitable gifts, agree to match personal donations with an equal or greater corporate contribution.
Every corporate matching program has its own rules. Employers establish matching gift guidelines and reserve the right to modify them at any time. To find out if your company will match your gift to the Golden Knights Club (GKC), please consult the Matching Gift Company Lookup. To initiate a matching gift, complete your employer’s matching gift form and send it with your gift to the GKC.
Please keep in mind that it is the responsibility of the donor to ensure that corporate matching gifts are matched in full in order to receive benefits at the desired giving level. Due to fair market values associated with gifts to the GKC, personal contributions must be at least $100 in order for the matching gift company to match the donor’s contribution. The donor is ultimately responsible for the entire pledge amount, both the personal and match portions, in the event that the employer fails to pay any, or all, of the match.
